Pillows

Here is another smaller pillow, that I absolutely love. It has a very pretty fabric. Still trying to find the best location for it, but for now it will go on my desk chair.

As an Interior Designer, I get to see and use some of the best materials not only for my clients but also for myself. I ended up having lots of fabric scraps that were large enough to make pillows. Even if I only had one piece of fabric large enough for the front of a pillow, I would go to the store to find an additional fabric to place on the back of the pillow.

One of my grandmothers in South Carolina continually has grandkids and great grandkids in the house and I had noticed lately that her pillows were getting worn out, torn, or flattened by all the continual use. Since we were going to see her for Thanksgiving, I decided to make her a bunch of heavy duty, full pillows. Here are some of the pillows I made and brought up for her.

I used a heavy duty brown backing for this pillow that went in her family room.
This is a heavy duty fabric that was left over from pillows that we made for a client. This went in her Living Room on a very busy organic designed chair.
This was a much more delicate pillow with a brown silk on the back of it, but the pillow worked great on a green striped chair in her Living Room.
This pillow is made out of a heavy duty indoor/outdoor fabric which works great since it is a light color and kids will be handling it. This pillow went on a neutral light colored couch in the Living Room. The perfect thing was that the green color on this pillow matches perfectly with the two green patterned chairs in the Living Room and ties the furniture pieces together.        -Brittany-
